All about need to know about Kratom:

The kratom tree Mitragyna speciosa is a part of the coffee plant family (Rubiaceae). M. speciosa is indigenous to Thailand, Malaysia and New Guinea. Other Mitragyna species (e.g. M. brunonis) can be found on the African continent as well.

In the countries of origin, kratom has been used for thousands of years as a remedy for diarrhoea, worm diseases, muscle pain, fever and as a diuretic. However, there is no empirical evidence of its therapeutic value for these complaints to date. Furthermore, farmers used its sedative, stimulant and mood-lifting effects to resist tiring field work in hot and humid environments.

The name kratom comes from the Thai language, where it is also called kakuam, kraton, thiang or thom. The terms biak-biak and ketum are derived from Malaysian.

Not only do the names of kratom differ according to the country of origin, but also the content of the mitragynine contained in kratom. Corresponding investigations revealed a significantly higher mitragynin content in Thai varieties compared to their Malaysian counterparts. Kratom has not played a significant role in modern medicine to date, but its medicinal potential is currently being researched. Therapeutic approaches focus on the use of kratom for social anxiety, chronic pain and depression, but the supposed positive effects on these complaints have not yet been proven. We offer kratom in four different varieties: Red, White, Green and Yellow. The varieties differ in their use as a natural color in terms of their hue and color intensity. If desired, they can be mixed to create new shades of colour. Our kratom extract is characterised by its outstanding colouring power and is ideal for mixing deep brown tones.
